Note: Annual Northwest Forest Passes are mailed to customers. No printable or digital annual passes are available at this time. If you need your pass right away, we recommend purchasing the self-issuing, printable National Forest Recreation ePass.

About Your Annual Pass

  • Honored at all U.S. Forest Service operated recreation sites in Washington and Oregon where a day use fee is required.
  • Allows the pass holder and any accompanying passengers in a private vehicle use of the recreation facilities.
  • Allows the pass holder use of recreation facilities at per-person sites. Other members in the party must pay the per-person fee.
  • Interchangeable between vehicles in the same household.
  • One free decal may be issued per Annual Northwest Forest Pass for users who have an open-topped vehicle or motorcycle. Decals are available at Forest Service offices only.
  • Passes are NON-REFUNDABLE, NON-TRANSFERABLE, and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.

  • The Annual Northwest Forest Pass does not cover fees or permits for:

  • Sno-Parks (winter season)
  • Group camping and organized activities
  • Developed campgrounds or cabin rentals
  • Special activities (Backcountry, Wilderness, Climbing, or River travel*)
  • Harvesting Christmas trees or forest products
  • Some concessionaire operated sites and activities
