Jim is a leader and social entrepreneur who combines his love for public lands with more than 30 years of retail experience. Drawing on an extensive background that ranges from managing record stores in Detroit, to opening one of Boston's first bookstore cafes, Jim's first social enterprise was with the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, where he managed their $50M retail division. Having originally joined us as our Operations Director, Jim became our Executive Director in 2002. Under his leadership, we have dramatically increased our operational effectiveness, established a profitable online store, and looked beyond traditional retail to other revenue sources to support our visitor programs. Jim has been with us since 1999.

Suzanne Greninger, Administrative Manager

Suzanne began her career with us as a volunteer, but became an official staff member less than a year later. She graduated from the University of Washington in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Suzanne provides administrative support for our Seattle office, carrying out a variety of tasks that include overseeing our online store operations and contributing to our Flickr page and contests. Some of her interests are the arts, the natural world, and spending time outdoors. Suzanne has been with us since 2002.

Cliff Hare, Inventory Manager
As Inventory Manager, Cliff makes sure all of our retail locations get the recreation passes they need, oversees our year-end inventory process, and manages our Seattle's National Park Store at Klondike Gold Rush NHP. Cliff brings extensive retail knowledge to our operations, with over ten years of experience in retail and online book sales. He graduated from The Evergreen State College in 1991 with a B.A. in Literature and Photography. In his off hours, Cliff can be found pursuing his interest in digital artwork, continuing his study of history and political science or bicycling around the Seattle area. Cliff has been with us since 2006.

Jamie Hickson, Accounting Specialist
Jamie arrived to the Northwest from Georgia and was immediately awed by the parks and recreation opportunities in the area. She has a B.B.A. in Finance from Georgia State University and assists our accounting department with processing sales reports and bank reconciliations. In her off hours, you will find her teaching dance, and exploring the world through her travels. Jamie joined our crew in 2006.

Jimi is the newest member of the DYNW team and is a Pacific Northwest transplant that hails from Oklahoma. She most recently worked for Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park as Student Conservation Association Community Volunteer Ambassador coordinating volunteers and was the Program Assistant for In My Backyard, a conservation leadership development and youth outreach program. Jimi graduated from the University of Washington with an M.A. in Museology and from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a B.A. in History. Jimi manages grants and agreements with public land management agencies throughout the PNW to support their education and outreach programs. In her spare time, Jimi enjoys hiking, going on road trips, and acquiring new creative hobbies.

Ben Nechanicky, Technology and Creative Projects Manager

Ben brings a diverse knowledge set in both graphic arts and technology disciplines to our efforts. He provides technology management, administration, and support skills as well as design and direction for publications and communications materials. Ben also contributes his technology and design talents to our internet and social media presences. After hours, when not attending to an old house, Ben pursues music, art, photography, design, hiking, and highly values time spent with family and friends. Ben's been with us since 1996.

Heidi Walker, Accounts Payable Manager
Heidi came to us with 10 years of financial experience and a lifelong hiking addiction. She joined the nonprofit sector in order to devote more time to her nature photography and writing. In addition to Payables, Heidi handles our FaceBook presence and many of our Human Resource responsibilities. Heidi holds three college degrees, including a Bachelor of Education from Ohio University. Heidi’s post-graduate emphasis was in Communications and Mass Media at the University of Wyoming. In her spare time, Heidi can be found hiking the wonderful natural spaces of the Northwest. She also leads small groups on photography and naturalist hikes, and contributes to our Flickr page and contests. Heidi has been with us since 2003.

John Zuber, Financial Manager

A University of Washington graduate with a background in languages and accounting, John manages our accounting and finance operations. Having developed an appreciation for spectacular public lands while growing up in Montana, he can be found exploring the Northwest and beyond in his various incarnations of cyclist, runner, and regular road-tripper. John has been with us since 1997.
