It is a compilation of species descriptions, high quality photographs, distribution maps, and data from over 75 professional and amateur botanists. The geographical area covered in the guide spans parts of Curry, Coos, and Douglas counties and all of Josephine and Jackson counties. Southwest Oregon is the northern extent of the California floristic province which is one of 35 biodiversity hotspots on the planet. Ecoregions covered include the Klamath Mountains, Coast Range, and the Cascades. This updated edition includes several new species.
