Product Details

In his 1965 "Natural Beauty Message" to Congress, President Lyndon B. Johnson inspired a national "system of trails" for the American people. In 2018, we celebrate the 50th anniversary of the birth of our National Trail System and our Wild and Scenic Rivers System. Trails and rivers are the arteries that connect us and our communities to public lands and waters. Today, the National Trails System includes 11 National Scenic Trails and 19 Historic Trails authorized by Congress, and more than 1200 National Recreation Trails. These trails provide outdoor recreation opportunities, promote resource preservation and public access, and encourage the appreciation of the great outdoors and America's history and cultural diversity.

Each walking stick medallion is made to detailed specifications, hand-made by a master engraver and then individually hand-painted. Pin them to your walking stick as a memento of your travels. Collect them all!
