Product Details
Part of Seattle's Lake Washington Ship Canal, the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks is a complex of locks situated at the west end of Salmon Bay. Known locally as the "Ballard Locks" and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, thousands of visitors are drawn every year to view its impressive locks as they move vessels between inland lakes and Puget Sound. Visitors also come to see seasonal Salmon and Steelhead migrate through the fish ladder toward spawning grounds, as well as stroll the park-like grounds including the Carl S. English Botanical Gardens.
This one-of-a-kind patch celebrates one of Seattle's most popular tourist destinations and would make a great keepsake for a hat, backpack or jacket!
