Discover Your Forest offers free conservation education and Ranger-led outings on the slopes of Mt. Bachelor every winter. Attendees can join a naturalist on a snowshoe tour, a guided ski/snowboarding tour, and join family friendly events like Junior Snow Ranger. These programs provide education about the forest, volcanoes, wildlife and more! In an effort to break down barriers of access onto our Public Lands, all of our programs remain free of cost. In order to maintain and grow our ability to provide free snowshoes, adaptive equipment for special groups, and reach thousands of kids every year with conservation education, we rely on donations. If you would like to support our work and enable us to continue offering our programs for free, please consider making a financial contribution to the Snow Program fund.
All funds received from Snow Program donations go directly back into the forest. Discover Your Forest (a subsidiary of Discover Your Northwest) is a non-profit partner of Deschutes & Ochoco National Forests and Crooked River National Grassland dedicated to promoting stewardship, conservation education, and volunteer programs.
