Big Hole National Battlefield is part of Nez Perce National Historical Park which has thirty-eight sites spread over four states (Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington). The Big Hole National Battlefield is the location of the battle that took place on August 9th and 10th during the Nez Perce Flight of 1877.
