I had the pleasure of meeting Donovan Tracy when he presented the Wa Native Plant Society a program about the kind of photography for pictures used in field guides like this one. Never before have I seen such an informative perspective on the process and selection of apertures! Donovan also sold me on this beautiful field guide because he folded it into tight quarters, then stuffed it in his shirt pocket. He later took it out and the rain and tear-proof "paper" hardly showed a dent! Have a great trip! With this guide you'll not only be able to ID the flowers along the way, but learn something unique about each of the floral "spirits" that light this most-floriferous-in-the-world region.
